We made this our breakfast breakfast place for all three days in Quebec City... very friendly owner... great crepes !!!
My husband and I had dinner here. We ordered a raclette but it was deli meat and payed $70! Service is very slow.
The raclette dinner was amazing, and the restaurant itself has all the beautiful charm as the old city itself. We will come back for more.
The Poutine was to die for. I could eat it everyday💞
I have loved the family atmosphere
Awesome Restaurant! Great food & staff
Terrible food, terrible service, overpriced. Do not recommend.
Just off the beaten path, the food is very good and the atmosphere is really nice and comfortable.
Cosy small place with good food and good service
What a precious find. We were looking for a place that was more affordable and more memorable than the bland traditional fare being offered at our hotel. As we sat down and received our coffee, we looked around and almost felt like we were back in Paris. The ambience is terrific! Our host (owner?) was very gracious and took great care of us. We ordered crepes and they were indeed delicious. So much so that we decided to try their croissants too. Equally tasty. So ... if you're looking for a friendly and good little breakfast place, by all means go here. You'll be glad you did.
Had a bad experience here. The food was poor quality. The glass of wine was the smallest ever. The service was terrible. Trust me...save your money...there are much better places.
Prompt polite service. Good food. The portion was a little smaller than anticipated for the price; but delicious.
Thoroughly mediocre. Slow service. No water brought to table upon arriving.
Tremendously slow service - didn't get a refill on a glass of water until we were leaving to pay the bill (~1 hour since the first glass of water). Food was just okay, but I found the price a little high for the mediocre quality. Would not return here.
Wonderful French onion soup and crepes. Excellent dessert, delicious maple tea. Lovely small intimate setting. Mainly locals. Nice service. Wonderful restaurant in the old section of Quebec antic but not a tourist hang out. Perfect!
This place is cozy quaint and no frills. But I really enjoyed it. Had a croissant, fresh fruit plate with crepe. Everything was fresh, croissant buttery warm and soft. Fruits were of high quality and exotic (Hami melon included). We also had a ham and cheese croissant. It was huge and loaded with cheese.
Very nice breakfast! Great price, plenty to eat and a delightful atmosphere! Wish we had not found it on our last day of vacation. Guess we’ll have to come back!
Ordered the escargot appetizer, steak w/salad and lamb couscous entrees. The steak I ordered was supposed to be medium rare but tasted more like rare leftovers that was microwaved. No flavour and chewy. The lamb couscous was similarly bland and more of a chore to eat. Salad tasted like the bagged salad from grocery stores. Escargot was average. Sad to say, the best part of the meal was the chilled Coca Cola I got which was great for the hot day. The prices are cheap for the area which is usually expensive (entrees were ~$17 each) and it was cozy inside.Avoid, there's other reasonably-priced places that are far better in the area if you look hard.
Although mentioned at wikivoyage (especially for breakfast), we both had a really bad experience. If you are the owner: improve the quality of your food. And don't use the knife you were cutting the onions with to slice the fruits of another dish.Service was OK. The price wasn't, and if you take into account what you're getting for it: forget about it.
Awesome wapiti pie baked with wild berries and wild blueberry sauce! Its exquisite.
Very cute, quaint and Quebecois. The owner was very kind and charming, though he didn't speak much English and I don't speak much French. Both the escargot and the French onion soup were average, however the breakfast sandwich with cheese and ham was quite good. Charming local place
This quiet off the main strip place has it all. Ambiance good food a d Amazon service.
Portions are pretty small, but that's not the main issue. The salad served before the food was pretty much a bagged salad with unimpressive dressing. Steak was tough and chewy and the pie was not a pie but a crust on top of dry, overcooked meat and vegetables, mashed potatoes were flavorless and smothered in dry sage.
Small, intimate, friendly, extensive breakfast menu.
Food that can be enjoyed lightly at an affordable price. Bright and cheerful owner. Food ordered may take some time. It's not fast food. But this place is well worth enjoying.
Staff was so friendly and the food was simple but delicious and affordable
I was drawn in by the charming look and atmosphere. The service was attentive and pretty quick. The portion size of my breakfast was huge for a very reasonable price. The hollandaise was very bland, it would appear they are more know for dinner.
Bad experience, food is blend.
Great place for a nice, quite, romantic drink. Excelent service and great wine.
Unfortunately for us the breakfast was relatively tasteless. The price was very reasonable considering the area it is in and how touristy it is however it seems that we maybe visited this Establishment on an off day.
Store was empty at 5pm, we waited, and waited, we got fed up and we had to go in the back to see if anyone even worked here, Soup you can hear it was microwaved... as well as your main meal which was a huge disappointment. Would like to know if the food was made that day at least, service wasn't even warm or welcoming. They didn't even apologize about not being up front. Do no go here if you have a choice between any other restaurant. We should have realized that it was empty for a reason and not stayed.
Delicious ham and egg brunch. Great vibe.
Came here for breakfast and dinner on the same day as we love their food and ambience. La Raclette for breakfast was is a must try! Served with cheese, hams, eggs and fruits!
Husband and I came for breakfast and both recieved a pretty tasteless omlett and burnt tasting coffee. Our table was also not very clean, and the place had a not very welcoming smell to it. Perhaps they are better at dinner service, but I would avoid them for breakfast.
We had French onion soup and raclette. The soup was okay but not great... The raclette was really good and they were generous with the servings. Would have got 5 stars if not for the so-so soup and the not so clean washroom.Service was really pleasant and it's a small quaint location.
Great for a quiet beer and croquet monsieur in the yard at the back away from the throng expect nothing special just a pleasant break for lunch.
Good food, friendly staff
Incredible restaurant with accomodating staff and a cosy feel. It's tucked away from all the touristy hubbub and has an outdoor patio too. The interiors are endearingly old fashioned and the food is positively memorable. Prices are surprisingly low and offers a good beer selection. Come here if you want good food for a fair price while taking a break from the crowds.
Nice and quiet breakfast. Did not feel like a crowded tourist spot.
Good food but it took a long time before waiter took our order. Small dinner for 4 was $88.
What delicous Toutière de Wapiti. I highly recommend it.
It’s a nice little place with a European vibe, the creepes was amazing and tasted. Service was little bit slow but it’s okay. Drinks/food were very affordable. I like this street you can see a lot of nice cafe until 10pm. You will enjoy your time here.
Real good, fair price, my date and I had the prefixed menu and honestly can't complain. It was very cozy also.
Its a cute little place with a European vibe, the food was amazing and tasted like a home cooked meal. Service was good and drinks/food were very affordable. I'd say it's a hidden gem.
Fortunately for us, this place was right across the street from a laundromat. We threw our clothes in the washing machine and went to Le Petit Coin Latin for sangria and wine to wait for our clothes to finish. It was just starting to rain, so we sat under their umbrellas. We stayed dry and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The staff was friendly and respectful.
Great food, reasonable prices; neat location and atmosphere. The service was slow but friendly, which - taken altogether - is enough to earn my recommendation!
I won't be back. I did not know enough French to be given respect by the waitress and the owner. Plus my meal was overpriced and bland.
The restaurant was busy when we arrived, without a booking, but we were well looked after and water quickly brought to our table. The price of the main course included salad and either creme caramel or maple syrup ice cream, as well as coffee or tea, but a first course or alternative desserts could be chosen. We had escargots, then steak and pan fried sea bream, both with mashed potatoes and salad. One creme caramel and one ice cream followed. The restaurant specialised in raclette which other diners were enjoying but we did not choose that. It was refreshing to find, on paying the bill, that the tax had already been included in the price. Why cannot all restaurants operate that systems.
Small out of the way but friendly. Good food, not a lot of frills. We had breakfasts and dinners there over a couple days. We'll be back!
We had no interest getting into one of those restaurants on the main road. So randomly took a turn down a side street to find this gem.We loved it and stay for some time to enjoy wine, ceasor salad and antipasto app.I think some of lower reviews tried to compare this to higher end places and expected too much.It is a great, off the main traffic, away of tourists, place to enjoy your meal and your company.Don't let the little things distract. It's a place to relax and enjoy!
